Outsourced Customer Service for Subscribers Started Last December

Since last December, we have been offering new clients the opportunity to outsource their subscriber customer service via email and phone to us. We established a customer service team specifically for this purpose, which consists of 4 customer service representatives. Currently, a total of six media outlets are using this service, and more will join in the fall.

This service is also available to our existing clients, and we are happy to provide more information on how you can benefit from it. Your needs may be temporary or ongoing. TaikaTilaus Offers a Wide Range of Payment Options for Your Subscribers

We have previously mentioned that we are introducing even more diverse payment services, allowing you to offer various payment options to your subscribers, such as monthly payments via Stripe. In practice, this means a service where a subscriber can pay for their subscription, whether it is a digital or traditional newspaper subscription, on a monthly basis using their credit or debit card. This payment method is familiar to all of us from various streaming services.

With the TaikaTilaus system, you can manage a wide variety of subscription formats and types, and integrate various payment methods.

Available options include traditional invoicing, email invoices, online invoices, e-invoices, Paytrail card payment services, Visma Pay, and more. We will continue to explore additional payment options and implement them based on your needs. If you have any preferences or requests regarding this, please let us know so we can consider them in our development efforts.

TaikaTilaus Reporting Developments

Our current reporting tools and various report templates have been developed in collaboration with our clients. We appreciate your support in advancing our reporting tools and solutions.

Recently, accounting reports, especially those based on accruals, have become increasingly important. Alongside the existing accrual reports, a new monthly accrual report will be introduced this spring. This report will allow you to track developments throughout the calendar year with a monthly overview. Once the report is ready, we will announce it on the "News" tab of the TaikaTilaus program.

The TaikaTilaus system already offers a comprehensive range of pre-built reports, and you can also generate custom reports using TaikaTilaus's search tools. Additionally, TaikaTilaus supports various graphical reports. Currently, graphical reports are available for subscriptions and accounting entries—check them out.

We can also create fully customized reports tailored to your needs. We will define the requirements together and then produce the necessary report in the agreed format. If needed, we can also build an integration or another type of solution to transfer report data to other reporting tools.

The cost for such work is either €120 per hour plus VAT or based on a project-specific quote.

New Features Coming to TaikaTilaus Software

We are excited to announce several new functionalities that will soon be available in the TaikaTilaus software. These updates will allow us to offer even more versatile services. Here are some highlights of the upcoming features:

  • Subscription Packages: You will be able to create subscription packages for newspaper and media products, similar to how you manage advertisements.

  • Customer Credit: You can leave a balance in the system for subscribers, which can be used for future payments or new subscriptions.

  • Distribution Issue Tracking: A new feature has been developed for logging and reporting distribution issues.

  • Temporary Address Changes: Address changes can now be handled on a per-publication basis.

  • Publication-Specific Discounts: You can set discount percentages for individual publications.

  • Enhanced Subscriber Sales Reporting: Reporting for subscriber sales has been improved to allow for calculating commission percentages for individual sellers. Commission percentages can vary between sellers.

  • Sales Tracking and Commissions: Sales tracking and reporting for subscriber sales have been enhanced, and you can now assign specific commission percentages to each seller.

  • And more.

We will provide updates on these new features in the "News" section of the TaikaTilaus software. Additionally, we will share more details in our spring webinars. Instructions related to these new functionalities will also be added to the TaikaTilaus support site.

2024 Newsletters and Webinars

 

During the spring and summer, we will be sending 1-2 newsletters covering current TaikaTilaus topics and will resume our updates after the summer holidays.


We will also continue our TaikaTilaus webinar series, which addresses current issues related to the TaikaTilaus software and services. In the spring and summer of 2024, we will host 1-2 webinars, and similarly in the fall of 2024. If you have specific topics or themes you would like us to cover in these webinars, we would be very happy to hear your suggestions.
